About the project
What has been built here – and why.
Meetings rarely fail because of technology, but because of the gaps in between: Who can make it when? Who has actually arrived? What did we decide – and who takes care of it? aigodmode closes these gaps with small, focused tools.
Personal
Why I built this
Countless online meetings have shown me how hard it is to get something efficient and lasting out of remote meetings – and to actually follow through afterwards. Platforms like Microsoft Teams offer plenty of features, but in the end things stay clunky: results get scattered across chats, files and notes, and little can be found again.
aigodmode aims to offer tools you don’t have to think about using: no complex server settings, no logins – everything should feel like it happens by itself. Because data is deleted automatically, it also stays clean in terms of data protection. Whoever needs the results exports them and stores them where they belong: in their own company network.
A lot is still in development. The goal is clear: make remote meetings noticeably better and more efficient – and not be just another tool.
The idea
Instead of one big platform with accounts, licences and onboarding, there is a family of specialised apps. Each does one thing really well and is ready in seconds. Together they accompany a meeting through its whole life cycle – and pass results on instead of letting them vanish into silos.
Principles
- Data is a liability, not a resource. As little as possible is stored, for as short a time as possible – and where confidential content is involved, only encrypted.
- Nobody has to sign up. A code or link is enough. That lowers the barrier and prevents data mountains.
- No third parties in the room. No analytics services, no ad networks, no external AI APIs, no fonts or scripts from third-party servers.
- Honest about limits. All apps are still in beta. What they can and cannot do is stated openly on their security and privacy pages.
Under the hood
Light, not heavy
The interfaces are built with Svelte and load fast – even on hotel Wi-Fi or on a phone on the go.
Simple web hosting instead of cloud
Every app runs on ordinary PHP hosting in Germany. No server farm, no containers, no recurring subscriptions.
Live without a permanent connection
Devices poll small static files that the web server delivers without running any code. That way even simple servers can handle many participants.
Cryptography from the browser
Where encryption is used, it relies on the browser’s built-in Web Crypto API – no third-party libraries, with a documented protocol.
Tested at every step
Every change runs through automated tests before it goes live – including a check that encrypted content really is stored only as ciphertext.
Seamless hand-over
Results don’t get stuck in one app: with one click, a Meetarium scheduling poll becomes the agenda for Votarium and an entry in Actarium, and the ideas from the Pinnarium board go straight to Votarium as votes.
Outlook
And AI?
Almost every app here could benefit from AI, for example:
- Pinnarium – group notes by meaning and summarise the results
- Votarium – write minutes with decisions from a session
- Actarium – pick out commitments straight from meeting notes
- Meetarium – take date suggestions from an email
- IcebreakerAI – invent new check-in questions that suit the team
During the beta this is deliberately not built in yet. Every request to a large language model costs money – billed by the amount of text, in so-called tokens. That does not fit tools that are meant to stay free, without an account and without tracking. Then there is privacy: meeting content should not end up with an external AI provider without being asked. That is why Pinnarium currently sorts notes with a simple text analysis on its own server.
Looking ahead, I am thinking about how AI features could be funded fairly – so that usage gets a real boost without giving up the principles:
- Optional AI packs or day passes for teams that want more – the core features stay free.
- Bring your own access: if you already use an AI provider, your key stays in your own browser only.
- AI right in the browser: smaller models that run on your own device – no cost per request, and no data leaves the device.
- Support from the community that funds a shared AI budget.
One thing is certain: AI will only come here as an explicit switch – transparent, optional and with clear information about where the data goes.
What’s next
The ecosystem is deliberately open. New apps follow the same blueprint: same design, same privacy rules, bilingual, running on simple web hosting. Which gap should I close next?
